Kyla Kanz - Principal & Founder

Kyla has managed Olive through interesting times. In 10 years she's guided a local interactive agency through the high-tech heyday and dotcom frenzy into a world class global communication design firm. Actively involved with the merging of technology and creative services she continues to cultivate  business growth opportunities for clients from Dell Computers and the University of Texas, to Public TV affiliate KLRU.

Previous lives include: helping form the Interactive Department of SicolaMartin Advertising Agency 1994-1997, Managing Partner Solo Editions Inc, New York, NY specializing in high-end commercial art promotion 1989-1993, Production Director American Showcase, 1983-1989  where she developed projects in the high-quality international print and design markets of Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Milan.

Studies include Masters in Media Studies, the New School New York, NY, and a BS in Journalism from UT Austin. Kyla was recently honored with Austin Business Journal's "Profiles in Power" Award for business leadership and community involvement, and as the 2006 Austin Ad Person of the Year by the Austin Advertising Federation.
